SHEFFIELD PLAN EXAMINATION

Stage 2 Hearings closed on Thursday 7th November 2024. The Inspectors are considering the next steps for the Examination and are due to relay their views in a letter to the Council which is anticipated around December 2024 / January 2025. Consequently, Stage 3 hearings which were due to take place during the week of the 9th December 2024 will not now do so. The Examination website will be kept up to date with further details as they become available.

4th October 2024 - The Council have provided an updated position with reference to site availability. The submissions consist of EXAM 80 - Covering Note and EXAM 81 - Merged Tables for All Sub Areas. Tables for individual Sub Areas can be found in the Examination Documents List references EXAM 81A - EXAM 81N. 30th May 2024 - EXAM 47 - Heritage Impact Assessment: Site KN11 submitted by City Council.

29th May 2024 - Week 1 of the Hearing Sessions have been relocated to Howden House due to the Town Hall being required for the General Election. It is now intended for the Stage 1 Hearings to be live-streamed and available to view remotely. The website will be updated with further details in due course.

23rd May 2024 - EXAM 4C - Joint Regional Statement of Common Ground updated to include full suite of signatories.

21st May 2024 - V4 of the Hearings Programme published. Please note that the update includes a revision to the date of the Hearing Session to consider Matter 6 - Green Belt. This session will now take place on the 4th of July. The Inspectors have accepted a Matter 1 Written Statement from the Peak District National Park Authority.

17th May 2024 - Planning Inspector K Child BSc (Hons) MA MRTPI has replaced J Gilbert MA (Hons) MTP MRTPI as one of the three appointed Inspectors.

14th May 2024 - EXAM 46A - SCC Request for the Inspectors to recommend main modifications to the Plan published.

10th May 2024 - The Inspectors have Issued Supplementary Questions for Stage 2.

3rd May 2024 - EXAM 46 - Inspectors' Letter to SCC re Requesting Main Modifications and Supplementary Matters, Issues and Questions for Stage 1 Hearings published. 

2nd May 2024 - V3 Hearings Programme published which now includes participants invited to the Stage 1 Hearing Sessions. Stage 1 Written Statements and an Updated Examination Documents List also published. A number of new documents have been added to the list including the Council's Strategic Flood Risk Assessment information, further Transport and Infrastructure Documents, Habitat Regulations and a Regulation 24 Notice of Hearing Sessions.
