SHEFFIELD PLAN EXAMINATION

Stage 2 Hearings closed on Thursday 7th November 2024. The Inspectors submitted their Post Hearings Letter to the Council and the Council have now completed a focussed consultation on proposed additional site allocations. Responses have been provided to the Inspectors. Further submissions in the form of hearing statements will not be required and the Inspectors will not be expecting to receive any further information / evidence at this stage in the process.

An updated V7 Stage 3 and 4 Programme has been published which brings the participation position up to date. ​The Hearing Sessions will be live-streamed to the Council's YouTube Channel.

21st May 2024 - V4 of the Hearings Programme published. Please note that the update includes a revision to the date of the Hearing Session to consider Matter 6 - Green Belt. This session will now take place on the 4th of July. The Inspectors have accepted a Matter 1 Written Statement from the Peak District National Park Authority.

17th May 2024 - Planning Inspector K Child BSc (Hons) MA MRTPI has replaced J Gilbert MA (Hons) MTP MRTPI as one of the three appointed Inspectors.

10th October 2023 - Planning Inspectors; J Gilbert MA (Hons) MTP MRTPI, D Troy BSc (Hons) MA MRTPI and R Morgan BSc (Hons) MCD MRTPI have been appointed to conduct an Examination into the soundness and legal compliance of the Sheffield Plan.

6th October 2023 - The City Council submit the Sheffield Plan for Examination.
